Leadership Care Team

Kaz Makhaza

Executive Director

Kaz graduated from Hill County college in Dec 2004 as a vocational nurse and practised in Fort Worth Texas in Geriatric and Dementia care. In 2007 Kaz relocated to Toronto and practiced in gastroenterology until 2014. While practising in GI, he worked part time in geriatrics as a nurse manager and finally as an assistant Director of Care. In September 2019 Kaz accepted a position as an Executive Director with Trillium`s Craigdarroch and Douglas Care Communities in Victoria BC and made the move across the country with his family!

Kaz states, “It is a privilege and honour to serve seniors. THEY SERVED US FIRST. This special honour is my true passion and a reminder of how important it is for me to care for those who cared for me first.”

Bill Krebs

Environmental Services Manager

Bill has over 30 years of construction and restoration experience and brings a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude to his role as the Environmental Services Manager for Trillium Communities long-term care homes in Victoria. Bill enjoys caring for the residents and working with his fellow employees to ensure that the residents are comfortable and safe and live a carefree happy life while in our care.

Bill has two grown children, a son and a daughter, that he is very proud of. When not at work, Bill can be found on his boat fishing the seas around the Cowichan Bay area. Fun Fact: Bill lives on his boat!

“One of the hardest decisions for our family was moving our dad into a home after our mom passed away. But the staff made it so much easier for us, knowing he is in capable hands.”
